Snowmobile Ski Rack FAQ

It's a quick-release ski and snowboard rack for snowmobiles. It mounts to Ski-Doo LinQ points (or to Polaris, Arctic Cat and Yamaha using our adaptors), carries your gear to the top, and then the whole rack comes off the sled in about five seconds with no tools. That's the point of it — you ride in with your skis, pull the rack, and your tunnel is clean for the descent.

Here's the honest breakdown:

• Ski-Doo — direct fit on any sled with LinQ points, including the 2026 short tunnel. Nothing extra needed.
• Polaris Matryx & AXYS (RMK, Slash, Pro) — needs our LinQ adaptors. They bolt into the sled's factory holes. No drilling.
• Arctic Cat and Yamaha — also works with our adaptors, but these sleds don't have the same pre-made holes. You'll measure and mark your own positions, and depending on the model you may need to drill. Email us your year and model before ordering and we'll talk it through.

Yes. The 2026 short-tunnel Summit, Freeride and similar models (154" and 165") keep the LinQ mounting points through the tunnel redesign, and the Flip Kit uses those. No adaptors, no modifications.

LinQ is Ski-Doo's tool-free mounting system. If you ride a Ski-Doo, you already have it. If you ride Polaris, Arctic Cat or Yamaha, our adaptor plates add LinQ points to your tunnel so you can run the Flip Kit — and any other LinQ accessory, like tunnel bags and fuel caddies.

They come two ways: $199 for the adaptor plates alone (if you already own LinQ base mounts), or $249.99 with the base mounts included. If you're unsure, take the $249.99 option.

Usually, yes. Email your sled's year, make and model — a photo of the tunnel helps a lot — to info@powtechmfg.com and we'll tell you straight whether it'll work. If we're not confident it fits, we'll say so rather than sell you something that doesn't.

Two pairs of skis, or at least two snowboards. It's built to haul a partner's gear as well as your own, which is what most people actually need on a sled-ski day.

Yes, and people do. A chainsaw. A Christmas tree. Whatever you need to get up the mountain and back. The holders and straps don't care what shape it is — if you can strap it down, it'll ride.

That's what the straps and liners are for. Adjustable Titan straps cinch the load down so it doesn't creep, and impact-resistant liners protect ski and board edges from chatter and hard landings. It's designed around real mountain riding, not parking-lot photos.

No. The mounts sit inboard of the running board edge, so you keep your legroom and the sled still feels like your sled. And when you don't want it there at all, it's off in five seconds.

About 20 minutes of assembly with basic hand tools. Everything you need is in the box.

On Ski-Doo and Polaris, no. Both use existing factory mounting points — the adaptors bolt straight into holes Polaris already put there.

On Arctic Cat and Yamaha, likely yes. Those tunnels don't have the same pre-made holes, so you'll measure, mark and may need to drill. We'd rather tell you that up front than have you find out with the sled in pieces.

On Ski-Doo and Polaris, yes — it's all bolt-on, nothing permanent. Pull the hardware and the sled is exactly as it was.

5052 and 6061 aluminum with billet aluminum holders. Powder coating is standard, not an upgrade — corrosion resistance matters when your gear spends its life in snow and road salt.

Limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, for as long as you own it. If something we made fails because of how we made it, we fix it or replace it.

That doesn't cover crash damage, normal wear, or a tree winning an argument with your rack — but if you think we got something wrong, email us. We'd rather hear about it.

Most orders ship within 3 business days of being placed. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it leaves the shop. During peak season or on large orders it can take a little longer, and if that happens we'll contact you directly rather than leave you guessing.

It's calculated at checkout by size, weight and destination, and you see the exact amount before you pay. For racks and hardware, most orders land between $10 and $50 in the continental US. Small parts and accessories ship at a $3.99 flat rate. Nothing gets added after checkout.

Yes. International shipping is available at checkout via UPS and DHL Express. Customs duties and import taxes are the buyer's responsibility.
